Abstract:
Aims at emphasizing the importance of
familiarizing L2 learners with the most
important socio-cultural factors of the
society in which the language is spoken, as
well as describing and classifying them.
Consists of a preface, 5 chapters,
bibliography, and 2 appendices. Chapter 1
gives a general account of the main theme of
the study, i.e., the relationship between
socio-cultural factors and teaching Persian
as a second language. Chapter 2 deals with
the theoretical aspects as well as
methodology, data analysis, and
conclusions. One of the findings is that
the most important problems of the learners
in the L2 environment is adjusting
themselves with the socio-cultural
conditions of that society and the learner
should become conscious and capable of using
language in accordance with different
situations efficiently.
