Abstract:
Designed to teach spoken Persian in a crash
course. In compiling this book, there has
been an attempt to teach some of the most
frequent grammatical patterns such as
different types of adjectives, the
imperative and prohibitive mood, adjectival
and possessive cases, and common Persian
words such as kinship terms, subjective
pronouns, as well as some idiomatic phrases
in spoken Persian. The language taught in
this crash course is standard Persian spoken
in Iran. Teaching is carried out through
phonetic alphabet. Consists of an
introduction plus seventeen lessons; lessons
one to fifteen include different sections to
teach speaking skills, and grammatical
models. Lessons sixteen and seventeen
familiarize learners with the formal,
written style as well as the Persian script
and alphabet.
