Abstract:
Aims at investigating the effect of
pre-listening activities in listening
comprehension in both intermediate and
advanced levels. Consists of five chapters
and an appendix. First and second chapters
include the introduction and review of
literature. Different types of listening,
and teaching listening comprehension are
discussed in second chapter. Third chapter
deals with the methodology. Forth chapter
includes the data analysis based on t-test,
and in the fifth chapter comes the
conclusion that activating the students’
linguistic knowledge has a great effect in
listening comprehension and learning Persian
Language.
