The activities of this division may be divided into the following categories:

• Occasional and fundamental research into Iranian Architecture
   
• Occasional and fundamental research into Islamic Architecture
   
• Occasional and fundamental research world theories and history of Architecture
   
• Occasional and fundamental research into educational methods and criticism of contemporary Architecture.
  The division has also embarked on publication of a quarterly on “Culture and Architecture” since 1999.
